District Medical Health Officer Dr. S. Bhaskara Rao said that the situation in Jammu village of Gurla mandal, where diarrhea cases were registered, is under control. As per the orders of District Collector Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, today, he visited the village along with Rural Water Supply S.E. Uma Shankar and Special Deputy Collector Muralikrishna and found out the reasons behind the outbreak of diarrhea. He said that a total of six diarrhea cases were registered in the village on 23rd of this month, 1 on 24th, 4 on 25th and 1 on 26th. Of these, one is undergoing treatment at Thettangi Primary Health Center, four at Cheepurupalli Community Health Center and one at Vizianagaram GGH, he said that the health condition of all of them is stable. He said that a medical camp has been organized in the village since yesterday and no new cases have been registered. He said that two teams have been formed and they have gone door to door and collected information. It was stated that there were no people with symptoms of diarrhea in the village.
